Formalities to entry into Tunisia



Entry into Tunisia

Participants are kindly requested to take good note of the requirements set in order to enter the Tunisian territory, in accordance with the following indications:

  • Entry visas into Tunisia have to be secured by all participants before leaving their countries.
  • Every participant must hold a valid national passport or any other travel document allowing him to return to the country of origin where the document was issued after having obtained a transit or entry visa.
  • Nationals of the following countries are exempted from visa formalities. These are: Algeria, Germany, Saudi Arabia, Austria, Bahrain, Belgium, Brunei Darussalam, Canada, Chile, Côte d'Ivoire, Denmark, Dominic Rep., United Arab Emirates, Spain, United States of America, Finland, France, Gambia, Ghana, Greece, Grenada, Guinea, Ireland, Island, Italy, Libyan Arab Jamahiriya, Japan, Kuwait, Liberia, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Mali, Malta, Morocco, Mauritius, Mauritania, Monaco, Niger, Norway, Oman, Holland, Portugal, Qatar, Romania, United Kingdom, St. Marin, Vatican, Senegal, Seychelles, Sweden, Turkey.
  • Nationals of the following countries will need an entry visa to enter into Tunisia: Afghanistan, South Africa, Albania, Angola, Argentina, Australia, Bangladesh, Benin, Brazil, Bulgaria, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Cap-Verde, China, Cyprus, Colombia, Congo, Costa Rica, Cuba, Djibouti, Egypt, Equator, Ethiopia, Gabon, Guinea-Bissau, Equatorial Guinea, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Jordanian, Kenya, Lesotho, Lebanon, Madagascar, Mexico, Mongolia, Nepal, Nigeria, New-Zealand, Pakistan, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Philippines, Poland, Syrian Arab Rep., Central African Rep., Korean Rep.( for a period exceeding thirty days), Czechoslovakia Rep., United Rep. of Tanzania, Rwanda, Sao Tome and Principe, Sierra Leone, Singapore, Slovakia, Somalia, Sudan, Sri Lanka, Chad, Thailand, Togo, Uruguay, Venezuela, Vietnam, Yemen, Democratic Rep. of the Congo, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Countries of the Community of Independent States.

Nationals of the above mentioned countries are kindly asked to take the necessary steps near diplomatic and consulate representations of the Republic of Tunisia to obtain entry visa into Tunisia. Failure of which, we kindly request you, in order to facilitate entry visa application, to use the form hereby annexed and return the same duly filled, as soon as possible not later than October 31, 2009, accompanied by photocopies of the first 4 pages of each participant's passport.

Welcome/Transport

The transfer of delegates between the Tunis-Carthage International Airport and Medina Mediterranean Hotels will be organized, at arrival as well as at departure, in accordance with the schedule to be communicated to the Organizing Committee in the details mentioned in the Registration Form.

Medical care

A sound climate, good sanitary situation, a controlled hygienic level, there are no particular risks of diseases therefore. The country has modern Hospital infrastructures and medical care is effective. No amoebae in Tunisia, thus you may enjoy vegetables without any fear. In case of a medical emergency during your stay, the Tunisian Post has put a Doctor on call for 24 hours to provide, as from 19 to 22 November 2008, First Aid Service.
